The Malsch & Ambronn, Malbronn-Werk Messerfabrik partnership was first listed in 1921 in Steinbach-Hallenberg, Thuringia. In 1925 it registered its “Am Bronn” (at the well) trademark of a man at a water pump. The firm had two workshops: one made knives and cutlery, the other polishing cloths and polish. In the 1930s it was owned by the brothers Karl and Willy Malsch.
