Peter Daniel Krebs, Blankwaffenfabrik, began in 1860 and registered in Solingen on 10 February 1899. When Daniel Krebs died, the business passed to his wife Elisabeth, with his son August as manager. August registered the “crayfish in shield” trademark on 14 February 1867, and a “pig’s carcass hanging from a hook” mark for butcher knives in 1899. The business passed to Otto Krebs in 1900 and to his son Otto in 1928.
