In 1865 Carl Eickhorn founded “Eickhorn Solingen”. Moving from Düsseldorf to Solingen, the first production hall was built in 1875. In January 1886 Eickhorn registered with the Solingen authorities and the manufacture of Eickhorn knives began. From the very beginning, quality, careful processing and precise assembly had top priority.
